The audit subsystem is used to raise the level of security in Linux systems. Although it doesn’t offer additional security per se, it’s used to retrieve detailed information on system events. We recently updated the version of CoreOS available in our Virtual Private Cloud and also added RancherOS to our list of available images.
These operating systems are useful for managing a large number of applications in containers and for using different container clustering systems, like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Apache Mesos, etc.
Any user can run into serious issues: viruses, physical disk damage, errors updating the system, etc. In these situations, most Windows resources aren’t terribly useful. There is, however, another way to troubleshoot these errors: by using Linux.
